Sheldon United Fund Total Stands At $18,394 With 4 Weeks Remaining

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon United Fund organizers say donations to the 2020 campaign totaled $1,050 for last week, bringing the total donated thus far to $18,394.

The goal for the 2020 campaign is $30,000 and to reach that goal, an average of just over $2,900 would need to be donated each week for the last four weeks of the 2020 campaign, which ends December 31st.

This year’s Sheldon United Fund drive will benefit twenty-five non-profits in Sheldon and surrounding communities, including:

Prairie Arts Council would like new signage to better mark and promote their historical park. The park is the only park in the United States that has four country schools used in different ways on one campus.

Rise Ministries, Inc. is dedicated to inspiring and spreading the message of Hope to the youth of the area. RiseFest is more than music — it’s a mission.

Sheldon East Elementary Excellence for East is a parent-teacher organization for Sheldon East Elementary. Funds raised will be used to cover prizes and silent auction items for the school carnival to be held in the spring.

Donations may be dropped off at Citizen’s State Bank, Iowa State Bank, Northwestern Bank, or Peoples Bank, all in Sheldon. Or you may mail your contribution to P.O. Box 41, Sheldon, Iowa 51201.

Sheldon United Fund Board members thank the businesses and individuals in Sheldon and the surrounding area for their support.
