Sheldon Water Is Safe

Sheldon, Iowa — You may have noticed an odor and unpleasant taste of tap water in Sheldon in recent days. If so, it’s not just your imagination.

We spoke to Sheldon Public Works Director Todd Uhl, who says changes to source water is the cause of the odor and taste issue.

Uhl stressed that Sheldon’s water is 100-percent safe to drink.

He says they’re making adjustments, trying to dial in the water to get rid of the smell and unpleasant taste, and thanked Sheldon residents for their patience as City crews work to remedy the situation.
