Short Agenda for This Week’s City Council Meeting

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will face a rather short agenda when they meet in regular session this Wednesday (March 2nd).

Some items of note on Wednesday’s agenda include a public hearing on the City’s 2022-23 budget, after which the Council is expected to pass a resolution approving the budget.

The Council is also expected to engage Ahler’s Cooney to update the Children’s World Agreement for the next fiscal year, approve the application for a $2,000 grant from the Lyon County Riverboat foundation for batting cages at the Sheldon Sports Complex, and write off nearly $43,000 in uncollectible ambulance for the 4th quarter.

The Council is also scheduled to go into Closed Session to discuss potential purchase of real estate.

Wednesday’s meeting will be called to order at 4:30 pm in Council Chambers of the Sheldon Community Services Center. To see the complete meeting agenda, CLICK HERE.
