Sibley, Iowa — U.S. Senator Joni Ernst, ranking member of the Senate Small Business Committee, has announced that a Sibley salon has been named her Small Business of the Week.
According to Ernst, Trisate Curls provides quality, specialized care for curly and wavy hair that is a cut above the rest.
Tristate Curls was founded in 2018 by Megan Gerken as a specialty salon for curly and wavy-haired clients. Megan graduated from Stewart Cosmetology School and has trained in Los Angeles, New York City, and Dallas to become an expert in working with curly hair. Before moving to Sibley with her husband, Megan worked in salons in her home state of Minnesota. In addition to owning and operating Tristate Curls, Megan is an active member of the Sibley Chamber of Commerce and works on the family farm with her husband to raise cattle. This year, Tristate Curls will celebrate its 6th business anniversary.
