Hull, Iowa– A skid loader was destroyed in a fire on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 near Hull.
According to Hull Fire Chief Greg Van Roekel, about 4:12 PM, the Hull Fire Department was called to the report of skid loader on fire at the Hulstien Dairy at 3020 Ironwood Avenue, three miles east and almost a mile north of Hull.
The chief says the fire department saw a fully-engulfed skid loader in the field as they approached the scene.
Van Roekel reports that there were no injuries to people, pets, or livestock.
He says the cause of the fire appeared to have been electrical in nature, but is officially undetermined.
Chief Van Roekel reports that the skid loader was totaled.
He says they used two to three hundred gallons of water to fight the fire, and crews were on scene for about a half hour.
