Steak & Dueling Pianos Fundraiser To Raise Money for Midwest Honor Flight

Sheldon, Iowa — A special fundraiser is planned in Sheldon for an organization that helps veterans see their memorials in Washington, D.C.

Aaron Prewitt with Midwest Honor Flight tells us what Honor Flight is all about.

Prewitt tells us that there are only a few World War II veterans left. He says right now, the majority of the veterans they serve are Vietnam-era vets. Prewitt tells us the trips are completely free of charge to the veterans through the generosity of those who donate.

The fundraiser — A Night For Honor Flight — is coming up on Saturday, November 2nd at the Crossroads Pavilion in Sheldon.

Prewitt tells us that for just the entertainment portion — if you don’t want food — you can give your suggested $20 donation at the door. But if you want the steak dinner, he tells us how to get your tickets.

Prewitt made his comments on the KIWA Talk of the Town Program, which can be heard on weekday mornings at 8:30 on KIWA-FM 105.3. We also post a podcast of every Talk of The Town Program, and you can find those by clicking here.
