Spencer, Iowa — The northwest Iowa fair that bills itself as ‘The World’s Greatest County Fair’ is going on now at the fairgrounds in Spencer.
Sunday, September 8th marks day #2 of the 2019 Clay County Fair, and Fair and Event Center CEO Jeremy Parsons says one of the popular events Sunday is the Classic Car Drive-In, which will be held east of the grandstand.
He says even if you don’t own a classic car, you can still enjoy the Car Drive-In.
Parsons says Sunday afternoon will see the end of a popular traditional Clay County Fair grandstand show, the Chuckwagon Races.
Parsons says if you love the music of the Beatles, you’ll want to attend Sunday evening’s grandstand performance.
He says if Beatles music isn’t your bag, you have other entertainment options Sunday evening, as well.
You can also enjoy the Midway rides and games beginning at 10:00 Sunday morning, along with more food options that you can imagine, various judging and exhibits, and $200,000 worth of free entertainment around the fairgrounds.
The 2019 Clay County Fair runs through Sunday September 15th at the fairgrounds in Spencer.
