Superintendent Myer To Stay In Sheldon

Milford, Iowa — The Okoboji Community School District has a new superintendent, and Sheldon Community School District Superintendent Cory Myer is staying in Sheldon.

The Okoboji School District says Will Dible has been presented an offer for the position and that he’s accepted. His hiring will become official at the January 8th, 2025 school board meeting.

Dible previously was principal at Spencer High School and served as director of school improvement for that district. He currently is Superintendent with the Alburnett Community Schools.

Dible holds advanced studies certificates with superintendent and principal endorsements from the University of Northern Iowa and a master’s degree in teaching from the University of Iowa. Dible is also an alumnus of Okoboji High School.

The Okoboji School Board worked with Grundmeyer Leader Services in the search. Dible was among the three finalists for the position who interviewed on Monday with groups of students, parents, teachers, and community members.

Dible begins his new duties with the Okoboji Community School District this coming July 1st, 2025.
