Suspect In Okoboji Carjacking Case Pleads Guilty

Spirit Lake, Iowa — A suspect in a carjacking incident in October of last year in Okoboji has pleaded guilty to charges against her.

Online court records show Jessica Nordrum entered the plea last month in Dickinson County District Court.

She was released from the Dickinson County jail last week to the custody of authorities in Minnesota following a hearing in Dickinson County District Court. A sentencing hearing is set for February 17th.

Nordrum was charged with robbery in the 1st degree, theft in the 1st degree, and assault causing serious injury in the incident back on October 13th, 2025. A pregnant woman was forced out of the vehicle and was injured after being partially run over by it. Nordrum and another suspect in the case, Vaughn Harris, were arrested later the same day after leading authorities on a pursuit near Blue Earth, Minnesota. The two are from the Twin Cities area.

Nordrum had previously pled not guilty and was scheduled to go on trial before a jury on February 3rd in Dickinson County District Court.
