Sheldon, Iowa – A text messaging scam has arisen targeting members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon.
The text message includes a 302 area code and the text claims to be Rev. Christopher Martin, asking the recipient to return the text when they get it because he had a favor to ask.
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon has confirmed that these texts did not come from Paster Martin and is a scam. St. Paul Lutheran Church asks its members not to respond to the text and report is as spam, or suspicious activity to your wireless carrier.
