Sheldon, Iowa — A bank with locations in Sheldon and Orange City will soon be known by a different name. But we’re told that’s about all that’s changing.
John Heller, President of Northwestern Bank, tells us that for over 50 years, Northwestern Bank has proudly operated as one of three community banks within Security National Corporation, “…bound together by our common values and a likeminded approach to personalized service; set apart only by our different brand names.” He says that the leaders of Northwestern Bank are putting the financial strength of that network to use by uniting under the family brand name: Security National Bank.
Heller says the merger will not affect the local banking teams at the offices located in Orange City and Sheldon. Rather, by coming together now under the banner of a single brand name and promise, Security National Bank will continue to put the full depth and array of the Corporation’s resources to work for customers in these communities. He says the merger will officially take place on October 16, 2023.
Heller tells us Northwestern Bank is communicating directly with customers about what will be updated, “…as well as what is not changing — namely its strong local leadership, commitment to supporting the community, and dedication to personalized service.”
Officials tell us that in the coming year, the banks in Orange City and Sheldon will be updated to reflect the new Security National Bank logo and look. The new branding will also be reflected in Bank advertising, and on all printed and online platforms, setting the backdrop for the same great service customers have come to expect.
