This Is ISU Extension Week

Statewide Iowa — This week is Iowa State University Extension and Outreach week. Iowa’s 100 county Extension and Outreach offices are hosting activities demonstrating how ISU Extension and Outreach is Building A Strong Iowa.

Iowa State University’s vice president for Extension and Outreach, Cathann Kress, says that Extension and Outreach harnesses the resources of the university for communities and farmers to thrive, for families and children to be healthy, and eventually to turn the world over to the next generation better than we found it.

ISU Extension and Outreach extends the university’s resources geographically she says, with officers and staff serving every county, ISU extension and Outreach educational programs cover the entire lifespan from Iowa’s youngest to oldest resident. Kress says more than a million people benefit from ISU Extension and Outreach educational programs each year. Millions more connect with ISU extension and Outreach online, according to Kress.
