Sioux Center, Iowa — It’s time for a celebration in Sioux Center. The annual Sioux Center Summer Celebration is this weekend.
We talked to Heather Rozeboom, who is the event coordinator for the Sioux Center Chamber. She highlights some of the events for us, starting with a free community cookout at Central Park from 5 to 7 p.m. this Thursday night.
She says this year, there’s even a street dance. That’s on Friday night.
Highlights of Saturday include a free kids’ carnival and the Sioux Center Summer Celebration Parade.
Rozeboom says the Legion is also bringing the 9/11 Mobile Exhibit to Sioux Center for the weekend. Three firefighters from New York City who served during 9/11 will be leading tours of the exhibit.
There are many other activities going on. The list of events can be found at siouxcenterchamber.com.
