Time To Get Your Flag For Sheldon Clean Up Days

New-Sheldon-SignSheldon, Iowa — Spring has sprung, and with it comes the annual ritual known as spring cleaning.  If you discover some forgotten items that you no longer want, the City of Sheldon is there to help.

Sheldon’s annual spring Clean Up will begin Monday, May 16th for those living west of Washington Avenue in Sheldon, and Monday, May 23rd for those living east of Washington Avenue.

There is a $15 fee to have your items picked up, and if you live west of Washington Avenue, the fee must be paid by 3:00 pm Friday, May 13th.  For those living east of Washington Avenue, the deadline is 3:00 pm Friday, May 20th.  Be advised that no payments will be accepted at the time of the pick up.  Upon payment you’ll receive a flag to prominently display at your residence where your items are to be picked up.  Fees can be paid, and flags picked up, at the Sheldon City Office in the Community Services Center.

If you have electronics or appliances to put out for collection, there will be an additional fee of $10 per item, which will get you a sticker to affix to each item.

Items must be placed at the curb side by 7:00 am on the Monday of collection for your part of town.
