Trivia or Treat & A Fire Alarm Make For Interesting Halloween At The Crossroads Pavilion

Sheldon, Iowa — Halloween “Trivia or Treat” wasn’t the only excitement at the Crossroads Pavilion event center on Halloween night.

The Crossroads Pavilion event center in Sheldon held their inaugural “Trivia or Treat” event on Halloween night. Pavilion General Manager Brittany Behrendsen tells KIWA that nine teams took part in the trivia contest, with each team comprised of approximately five members. The event featured costumed teams answering trivia questions to win prizes. Behrendsen said everyone had a great time during the event, and it will most likely be done again in the future.

After the trivia contest wrapped up and the players had left the event center, the Sheldon Fire Department answered a fire alarm at the facility. Assistant Sheldon Fire Chief Randy Harms tells KIWA that event center workers accidentally hit a pull alarm with a table while setting up for a wedding. Harms says there was no fire, and firefighters were on the scene for only a short time.
