Trooper Reminds People To Plan On Delays Due To Harvest Equipment On The Roads

Northwest Iowa — It’s about that time again. Harvest is starting up around northwest Iowa — and that means it’s time for motorists to plan a little extra time for any trips, no matter how small.

Iowa State Patrol spokesperson Kevin Krull reminds us that this is the time of year that we are all reminded just how quickly a slow-moving vehicle becomes an issue if you’re not expecting one.

Krull says the results of such a surprise meeting with a slow-moving vehicle could be tragic.

Krull says texting and driving is always a bad idea, but it’s even worse when there’s a 40-mile-per-hour or greater difference between your speed and that of the vehicle in front of you.
