Sheldon, Iowa — The actor who will play Uncle Fester in the Jay Shelp Community Theatre production of The Addams Family Musical is shaving his head for the play, as well as for a fundraiser for a very worthy cause.
Brian Tutje will shave his hair and beard on August 21st in an effort to raise funds for Kids With Cancer. Wayne Burnette is the director of The Addams Family Musical, and he says when they decided to do that particular show, Brian popped into his mind as Uncle Fester.
Tutje says he thought the play, and his willingness to remove his hair and beard, was a good opportunity for a fundraiser for Kids With Cancer.
Donations are now being accepted for the KWC charity, and Burnette says Jay Shelp Community Theatre will give a matching donation.
He says there will be a special performance of The Addams Family Musical for some very special guests prior to opening night.
Jared Foster of KWC Racing talks about what his organization does.
Foster says his organization is working with the Children’s Miracle Network for this fundraiser. And, he says, they have something special planned for this Saturday.
Foster says that all funds raised will stay right here in our area.
Donations can be dropped off or mailed to Just Cuts for Men, 911 3rd Avenue, Sheldon IA 51201.
