Iowa — Two northwest Iowa eateries are among the 10 finalists in this year’s Best Burger Contest put on by the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association. The Road House in Orange City and Burger and Company of Spirit Lake made the cut.
Kylie Peterson, Director of Marketing for the Iowa Beef Industry Council, says nearly 400 restaurants were nominated this year with more than 6,000 burger enthusiasts casting their ballots.
The final phase of the contest will begin soon. A panel of anonymous judges will visit the 10 finalists to evaluate burgers based on taste, appearance and proper doneness.
The winner of the 2025 Iowa’s Best Burger Contest will be announced May 1st as part of the kick-off to May, Beef Month.
