Sheldon, Iowa — One of the exciting parts of O’Brien County Career Day was the announcement of the scholarship winners.
Awarded at the O’Brien County Career Day, were two O’Brien County Career Day Scholarships. Kate Stewart is on the committee, and she tells us the goal of these scholarships is to help retain a talented workforce in O’Brien County.
She says there are a few more requirements.
Stewart tells us a little about one of the two winners this year.
According to Stewart, the other winner was also from South O’Brien.
She says they have offered a single $500 scholarship every year since 2020, and this year, for the first time, they were able to offer two.
