UDMO Food Pantry Needs Donations

Northwest Iowa — Food banks around Iowa are seeing their stocks depleted, as donations traditionally taper off during the summer months.

Brenda Collier of Upper Des Moines Opportunity in Primghar says the situation in O’Brien County is no different. She says the UDMO Food Pantry in Primghar is running very low on certain items.

She says donations of food can be dropped off at the UDMO Office in Primghar between 9am and 4pm Monday through Friday, and she says cash donations are welcome, and can be mailed.

At Upper Des Moines Opportunity in Osceola County, they’re doing pretty well, as far as food is concerned, but they have a need for donations of toiletries, such as toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste, soap, and the like.

In Osceola County, items may be dropped off at Upper Des Moines Opportunity, 1672 Northwest Boulevard in Sibley, or for more information you can call 712-754-2573.

In O’Brien County, the UDMO Office is located at 140 2nd Street Southeast in Primghar. The Primghar office can be reached by phone at 712-957-1023.
