Sheldon, Iowa — It’s at a little different time of the year than it normally is, but an annual event brought to you by Village Northwest Unlimited is coming up this Saturday in Sheldon.
Village CEO Barry Whitsel tells us about Run, Walk, and Roll 2021.
The “roll” of Run, Walk & Roll is in reference to people completing the event in a wheelchair.
Whitsell says you can register at www.villagenorthwest.org. Or, there are a couple of other options, the first of which is on Friday night (Sept. 24).
He says the Run, Walk, and Roll is part fundraiser, part community awareness, and part fun for all involved.
The start time is 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. In 2019 the event boasted its largest participation with 600 participants. The event consists of a 10k, a 5k, and a 1-mile walk/wheelchair roll. All three routes are wheelchair accessible and the event is open to all ages and abilities.
