Sheldon, Iowa — At this point, it doesn’t appear that we will be seeing flooding like we had last year about this time — but there is a significant rainfall event predicted.
We talked with Meteorologist Matthew Meyers at the National Weather Service office in Sioux Falls and he tells us what could be on the way.
Meyers says it’s possible that they could be issuing flash flood watches or warnings, but they can’t say for sure or when that could happen. He says severe weather, while not expected, is not impossible with these storms. He says the best thing you can do is remain weather aware and stay prepared to change your plans.
