Wednesday Is Disability Awareness Day At The Fair

Spencer, Iowa — The 2019 edition of the ‘World’s Greatest County Fair’ reaches it’s halfway point Wednesday.

Clay County Fair and Event Center CEO Jeremy Parsons says Wednesday is a very special day at the fair.

Parsons says the 9-11 Mobile Exhibit is on the fairgrounds all week, but with Wednesday being September 11th, he says it holds a special meaning for many who attended the fair on that fateful day.

Wednesday evening’s Grandstand entertainment features the IMCA Blue Ribbon Showdown stock car races. It will be the final night for IMCA racing for the 2019 season at the Clay County Fair Speedway. IMCA classes include Hobby Stocks, Sports Mods, Modifieds, Stock Cars and Sports Compacts. The 2019 Blue Ribbon Showdown will also include the season championship for IMCA 305 Sprints.

The 2019 Clay County Fair runs through Sunday at the Fairgrounds in Spencer.
