Sheldon, Iowa — If you are turning 65 soon and have questions about enrolling in Medicare, there’s a seminar coming up for you.
“Welcome to Medicare” will be held Tuesday, April 12th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the campus of Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon. It’ll be held in Room 116 A.

Carol Brinkert is a counselor with the Senior Health Insurance Information Program, or SHIIP. She’s from MercyOne in Primghar. Brinkert says they are excited to offer this free seminar to the people living in northwest Iowa. She says, “Medicare is such an important program and understanding what it offers helps assure that anyone eligible gets the health benefits they deserve.”
She tells us that this “Welcome to Medicare” seminar will cover Medicare Part A and Part B benefits, the prescription drug benefit, (which is Part D), Medicare Advantage plans, and Medicare supplement insurance.
