West Okoboji Man Wanted On O’Brien County Warrants Apprehended By HEAT Team

Milford, Iowa —  A West Okoboji man wanted on O’Brien County warrants for harassment was taken into custody Thursday.

Milford Police say they were notified shortly before 11:30 a.m. Thursday that 26-year-old Keaton Leach was wanted on the warrants and that he had the potential to be violent toward law enforcement officers and was likely armed. The H.E.A.T., High-risk Entry Arrest Team, was then activated. Officers eventually made contact with Leach and he was taken into custody without incident.

Leach was booked into the Dickinson County Jail on a new charge of violating a no-contact order and the active arrest warrants from O’Brien County.

Milford police were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Arnolds Park Police Department, the H.E.A.T tactical team, and EMS personnel.
