When Sheldon City Council Meets Wednesday They’ll Discuss Zoning, Among Other Things

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will meet in regular session at 4:30 p.m. this Wednesday afternoon in the council chambers at the Sheldon Community Services Center across 9th Street from KIWA Radio.

On their consent agenda are the minutes from the previous meeting, the list of claims, several financial reports, the approval of third-quarter ambulance uncollectibles, a change order for the upper story project, a pay request for that project, and the South 5th Avenue farm lease. Unless a council member requests that an item be pulled out of the consent agenda to vote on separately, the entire consent agenda will be voted on in a single motion.

The council will set the dates and times for two rezonings and a zoning ordinance change. The properties involved are 331 North 5th Avenue and 415 West Park Street.

In new business, the council will have the introduction of a capital improvements plan for Fiscal Year 2027, and will do a strategic planning review.

The meeting starts at 4:30 p.m. in the council chambers and is available on YouTube.
