Winter Storm On Its Way

National Weather Service NWS logoNorthwest Iowa — For the past several days weather forecasters have been watching a rather potent winter storm system that has been headed our way.  The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a Winter Storm Watch for our area, which is scheduled to go into effect Sunday afternoon, and continue through Monday evening.

National Weather Service Meteorologist, Todd Heitkamp, tells us more.

We asked Heitkamp if there was any chance we might see temperatures in our area cold enough to miss out on the freezing rain, and leave us with just snowfall.

To stay ahead of the storm, keep yourself updated on weather 24/7, with KIWA Radio, both on-air and online.
