Rock Valley, Iowa — Progress continues on the Rock Valley swimming pool project.
Rock Valley City Administrator Tom Van Maanen tells us the old pool has been demolished and removed.
He says contractors started on the project in the first week of June. Van Maanen details the timeline for us.
He tells us about some of the features and amenities the new pool will have.
He says it will also have a zero-depth entry and some features for the younger children. He tells us a little about the financial end of things.
Van Maanen says the project was brought forward by a group of citizens.
A $3.5 million bond vote to finance the project passed in September by nearly 91 percent of voters.
