In looking into why the King of Hearts does not have a moustache, a few other things were discovered. He is the only king bearing a sword behind his head, therefore he is commonly referred to as the “suicide king”. There are a number of theories as to why he does not have a moustache, and why his sword is like it is. The most commonly accepted theory is that they were 16th century printing errors that stuck. He is also the only king that shows both of his hands. It’s unknown why he shows both hands.
