2022 is an election year. What bubble you darken on the ballot is up to you, but 150 years ago this year, Susan B. Anthony was fined $100 for voting in the 1872 election. I punched that into a calculator, adjusting for inflation, that $100 fine would today be $2,427.63! She never paid the fine. Women got the legal right to vote nearly 50 years later, in 1920 when the 19th amendment was passed.
