Beef Quality Assurance Training Scheduled For Wednesday In Orange CIty

Orange City, Iowa — If you are a beef producer or agri-business professional needing to obtain or renew your Beef Quality Assurance certificate, you’ll have an opportunity this coming Wednesday.

Beef packers require feedlot producers to have a current Beef Quality Assurance certificate before they will buy the feedlot producers’ cattle. ISU Extension and Outreach is offering an in-person training this Wednesday, February 23 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Sioux County Extension Office in Orange City.

This training is offered at no cost, but registration is required.  Please register by this Monday, February 21st, by calling Sioux County Extension at 712-737-4230.

For those who cannot attend an in-person training, BQA training is also available on-line.  For more information, contact Beth Doran, ISU Extension and Outreach Beef Specialist at doranb@iastate.edu or phone 712-737-4230.  Doran says whatever you do, don’t delay – get BQA certified!
