Biofuel and farm groups say EPA proposed tailpipe rule favors EVs

IARN — Biofuel and farm groups say the Environmental Protection Agency, in its proposed tailpipe emission standards, is forcing automakers to produce more electric vehicles while ignoring the clean air benefits of biofuels.

The groups argue EPA would create a de facto EV mandate for 2027 instead of a market-driven, technology-neutral approach. Renewable Fuels Association President & CEO Geoff Cooper.
