IARN — Case IH has announced updates to its Puma series tractors.
According to J.E. Cadle – Case IH mid-range tractor marketing manager – the updates will feature a redesigned look and improved lighting conditions.
“We wanted to update the Puma tractor with our newest hood design,” Cadle told NAFB. “We got the newest lighting, the newest look, so the Puma really looks totally different from the outside. And with that new hood we’ve got improved lighting, so much more field lighting available, up to six LED lights in the hood to go with the up to 14 LED lights we already had available on the cab. So, a much better lighting performance with this model year 2021 Puma tractor.”
Cadle says Puma tractors have become a multipurpose, single-solution mainstay for operators who need to get things done in a quick manner.
“These enhancements ultimately help provide more efficient power and help operators be more productive while providing a familiar tried and true experience producers have come to rely on,” said Cadle. “In addition, our long wheelbase models 185 through 240 include some in cab enhancements like a coolbox, low mount wiper and just a quieter work environment. These enhancements will come into play on the short wheelbase models 150 and 165 in model year 22.”
Cadle adds the enhancements will include increased service intervals and better engine productivity.
“One of the most exciting things is our increased service intervals, 750 hours for engine oil and 1,500 hours for transmission fluid, this is thanks in part to our newest Case IH Hi-eSCR2 emissions technology,” he said. “It gives us a little better productivity, increases our engine responsiveness and increases engine durability. These are in addition to the redesign hood and enhanced LED work lights, which really helped provide a much more uniformly lit work area, helping the operator safely tackle after hours jobs.”
