Le Mars, Iowa — Northwest Iowa is still facing drought conditions, and with that comes other issues farmers may encounter due to the drought conditions.
Leah Ten Napel, Iowa State University Extension Field Agronomist, tells us about crop conditions.
Ten Napel says many farmers are seeing a deficiency in their corn.
Another issue farmers are seeing, according to Ten Napel, is grasshoppers. She says grasshoppers are a big problem for farmers, but when there is a drought and it’s very dry, grasshoppers become more of a problem than they normally would be.
