Don’t look for fertilizer price relief any time soon

IARN — The prices for fertilizer have been high because the market has been volatile for several reasons. Chief among these reasons is the Russian invasion of Ukraine. However, this isn’t the sole cause, and prices were rising well before that.

Congress and the Administration are trying to find ways to offer relief for those who need to make these purchases, but should we expect relief any time soon? According to Cory Rosenbush of the Fertilizer Institute, the answer is no.
