Dordt Ag Stewardship Center Is Site For Inaugural Livestock Forum

Sioux Center, Iowa — The first-of-its-kind livestock forum at the Dordt Agriculture Stewardship Center will give vital information to regional livestock growers.

Organizers tell us the forum, hosted by KENT Nutrition Group of the KENT Corporation, and Dordt University, will be held Wednesday, June 28 at the Dordt University Agriculture Stewardship Center, and will feature Dr. Robbi Pritchard of Annawan Cattle, LLC; and Distinguished Professor from SDSU. He will discuss feedlot cattle management with additional forum sessions that include rumen development, real time cattle management systems, livestock risk protection overview, and dairy-beef cattle genetic opportunities.

Breakout sessions repeat throughout the day and focus on chuteside precision cattle tools, TMR feed mixing demonstrations, KENT swine update and new ShowBoss™ supplements for show animals. “KENT is excited to bring this unique educational opportunity to northwest Iowa,” said Kevin Allman, KENT Nutrition Group Territory Sales Manager and event co-organizer. “We saw an opportunity to share impactful information that will improve beef producers’ bottom line.”

More than thirty (30) trade show vendors will feature animal health products, livestock auction markets, equipment dealers, animal nutrition companies, financial institutions and more. Plus, the Sioux County Cattlemen and Dordt University will prepare and serve a complimentary steak sandwich luncheon.

“The Northwest Iowa Livestock Forum will positively impact our KENT dealers and their customers; it’s truly a win-win for us all,” said Randy Rosenboom, KENT Nutrition Group Territory Sales Manager and event co-organizer.
