Farm Bureau announces iFarmiVote voter toolkit for rural America

IARN — As we enter the middle of 2022, we know that the inundation of political ads and commentary is only going to increase. Not only are there local and state elections, but it is also the midterms for the Congressional elections, and it will be interesting to see which way the tide of public opinion is swaying with everything that has happened in the past two years since the last elections. Control in both chambers is tight, but the Senate is as thin as it possibly gets.

Obviously, all citizens should be informed and take this election seriously. However, what if you aren’t sure where certain candidates stand on issues that are important to rural America. A lot can be lost in the rhetoric, and most commercials aren’t geared very close to rural parts o the country, especially in Federal elections, where we sometimes are just considered some of the masses.

The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) has a tool available to everybody, but it focuses on rural issues in the upcoming elections. Tom Donnelly of the AFBF tells us more about this tool called iFarmiVote.
