IARN — The National Pork Board frequently organizes trips to foreign countries in order to help promote U.S. pork and look for areas to differentiate U.S. pork from competitors and add value and opportunity into other markets.
Bob Ruth is a National Pork Board board member who was recently part of an NPB trip to Panama and Colombia to learn about the growth potential in both rising markets. Ruth says that the people of the two countries were eager to interact with U.S. hog producers on the trip.
