Precision Agriculture Loan Program Act aims to get new technology out to farmers

IARN — In September, we had the Farm Progress Show in Boone. The event was a great showcase of the advancing technologies in the ag industry, but even with all of that new equipment, one issue remains: how do we get it into the hands of farmers?

Iowa 4th District Congressman Randy Feenstra said that’s why he partnered with Illinois Congresswoman Cheri Bustos soon after the event to introduce the bipartisan Precision Agriculture Loan Program Act (PAL) of 2022, which would establish the first-ever federal precision agriculture loan program in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency.
