IARN — Just a month or so ago, the threat of flooding in the Midwest was still a very real concern. After flooding that caused havoc throughout the corn belt and especially in the Southwest part of Iowa, the thought of more was not what anybody wanted to hear. Now as we are ready to get our planting underway, the message has changed.
Bryce Anderson is the Senior Ag Meteorologist at DTN, and the guru we turn to when we want accurate predictions on the growing season. Anderson has revised his forecasts again as April has taken shape. He says we will not see the number of delays we saw in 2019’s planting season.
