Senator Grassley Says Farmers Try To Remain Optimistic During Plant

IARN — The strains of the times are affecting us all. However, many farmers have been looking forward to getting their planters rolling. It is a feeling of normalcy during these uncertain times. One farmer has told me that planting was, “the surest sign that life goes on.” Today, Senator Chuck Grassley told Ag reporters that farmers are trying to hang on to the optimism that this won’t last forever and 2020 is not the same as prior years and hopefully won’t be repeated.

Senator Grassley said that farmers he has talked to are trying to remain optimistic as we move forward with the plant. This is despite the lowest prices seen in years. However, every year presents challenges and farmers rise to them.
