Soil moisture improving in some areas of the country

IARN — Well, the 2023 growing season is off and running. Fortunately, it hasn’t seen too many hiccups as we get those seeds into the ground. In this part of the country, we are still seeing some dry soil conditions, but for the actual planting time, dry soils are going to be just fine.

While we did get some rain over the weekend, we still have some catching up to do. Temperatures haven’t always been playing nicely either. John Baranick is an Ag meteorologist from DTN, and he talks about how we are starting to see things turn a little more back to normal.
