IARN — U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Tom Vilsack has announced an investment of $11.1 million under the Food Supply Chain Guaranteed Loan Program for Crystal Freeze Dry LLC, which will help the company expand capacity to manufacture freeze-dried egg products and create job opportunities for rural Iowans.
The Biden-Harris Administration made these funds available through its historic legislative package, the American Rescue Plan Act. Vilsack said this announcement is one of many that will be made as they work to address food system challenges.
