Sheldon, Iowa — The annual Prairie Arts Halloween Carnival is this Saturday (October 26) at the Prairie Arts Historical Park in Sheldon.
One of the people setting it up, Katricia Meendering, tells us about it.
She says the event is put on with the help of a bunch of volunteers.
She says it costs nothing for the kids to attend.
But at this point, highs look like they may hit 60, under a partly cloudy sky. She says in the good years, 200-500 people come through.
She tells us they do accept donations, and they get funds another way.
She tells us about some of the things the kids can see and participate in.
The Halloween Carnival is at Prairie Arts Historical Park on the north side of Highway 18 between the east Casey’s and KwikStar in Sheldon, and it runs from 1 to 3 p.m. this Saturday, October 25th.
Meendering made her comments earlier this week on the KIWA Talk of the Town Program, which can be heard on weekday mornings at 8:30 on KIWA-FM 105.3. We also post a podcast of every Talk of The Town Program, and you can find those by clicking here.
