Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Golden Egg has been found!
After many years of people finding the egg within the first day or two, and sometimes within hours of the contest starting — this year — for the first time in many years, the egg was not found yet on Friday morning.
According to Sheldon Chamber Director Trista Kavanagh, Barbara Besaw found this year’s golden egg this morning. Kavanagh says this time, it was a picture of the egg attached to a gold wire behind the “Historic Sheldon” article on the old Time After Time building.
Besaw won $375 in Sheldon dollars for finding the golden egg.
