Cherokee Regional Medical Center To Host Primghar Town Hall

Primghar, Iowa — The people in the Primghar area will soon see what it will be like to have the medical facility in town open under the management of the Cherokee Regional Medical Center.

They tell us they will be hosting a town hall event on Monday, December 15th, 2025, for community members wanting more information about the clinic transition process and how to access health care services. They say the “transparent” event will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Primghar Community Building at 215 1st Street SE in Primghar.

Cherokee Regional recently announced that, effective Saturday, December 27, 2025, they will acquire MercyOne Primghar Family Medicine, at 240 North Rerick Avenue in Primghar. Any MercyOne patients looking to transfer their care, as well as any residents looking to learn more about Cherokee Regional’s healthcare services or the services of the Primghar Medical Clinic, are encouraged to attend.

Cherokee Regional officials say their goal is to open the Primghar Medical Clinic, a hospital outpatient department of Cherokee Regional Medical Center, the week of December 29, 2025. It will join the Cherokee Medical Clinic, Holstein Medical Clinic, Aurelia Medical Clinic, Marcus Medical Clinic, and Sutherland Medical Clinic. At that time, former MercyOne clinic patients will be invited to transfer their care to Cherokee Regional’s new Primghar Medical Clinic.

For more information about this event or about Cherokee Regional Medical Center and its regional clinics, they tell us you can call 712-225-5101.
