County Fair Season In Full Swing

Northwest Iowa – Summer is here, which also means county fair season in northwest Iowa, and area fairs are in full swing this week.

The Sioux County Youth Fair is enjoying the first year at their new location, which is the former Sioux Center Airport near Carmel, Iowa. The Sioux County Youth Fair runs through this Friday, July 19th. For more information, visit siouxcountyfair.org.

In Osceola County, the 2024 Osceola County Fair is underway at the Fairgrounds in Sibley. The Osceola County Fair continues through this Saturday, July 20th. Details on the 2024 Osceola County Fair can be found at the fair’s website.

The 2024 O’Brien County Fair will begin it’s five-day run this Saturday, July 20th at the fairgrounds in Primghar. The O’Brien County Fair will run through Wednesday, July 24th. For details visit the O’Brien County Fair’s website.

The final county fair in our four-county area will take place next week. The Lyon County Fair for 2024 is scheduled for Sunday, July 21st through Thursday, July 25th. There will be some changes this year, forced by the flooding in Rock Rapids. Much of this year’s Lyon County Fair will be held at the Osceola County Fairgrounds in Sibley.
