Spencer, Iowa – Dakin Schultz, a transportation planner with the D.O.T’s region three office in Sioux City, has confirmed that plans are in the works to construct a round-about at the north junction of Highways 18 & 71, commonly known as the North Y, in Spencer.
Schultz says round-abouts have a proven record of efficiency when it comes to safely moving traffic.
Schultz says talks between the D.O.T, the city of Spencer and Clay county are ongoing when it comes to the North Y.
