DNR Holding Public Input Meetings

(Undated)– The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will hold public meetings next month to give updates and hear comments on recently completed hunting and trapping seasons. There will also be discussion on possible changes to rules and regulations.

Two of the sessions will be held in our area. One of those is scheduled for 6:30 pm February 18th at the Spencer campus of Iowa Lakes Community College. Another is set for 6:00 pm February 20th at Maser Monarch Lodge, just west of the Dickinson County Nature Center.

DNR officials say input given at the meetings will be considered by the agency prior to proposing changes to hunting rules and regulations. Proposed rules will be presented to the Natural Resource Commission during a regular public meeting for consideration and additional public comment.
