Inwood, Iowa — A Doon man has been arrested on felony criminal mischief charges after an incident in Inwood.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the Lyon County Clerk of Court’s Office by the county sheriff’s office, 27-year-old Kevin Hise Jr. of Doon is accused of throwing rocks through the window of a home. He was arrested on Wednesday.
In his statement, the deputy says Hise intentionally damaged the window of the victim’s house by throwing rocks through the window. He says the cost to repair or replace the window was estimated at over $1700.
Hise was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony. If convicted, Hise could face up to five years in prison.
He faces a preliminary hearing on the charge on September 17th.
Hise was booked into the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids, and was released on Wednesday after posting a $5000 cash or surety bond.
